Played some magic the Gathering: Arena of the Plainswalkers the other day. I've had the game and its expansion "The Battle for Zendikar" for a while now, but they haven't gotten played nearly enough. I got a chance to play a 4 player free for all game with a friend and the kids a few days ago.

I played the Green Plainswalker Nissa with her elves and elementals. My friend faced off against me on our side of the board using Jace and his illusions. Nissa and her elves took the hill in the center to make use of their bows on the elevated terrain.

On the other side of the board, my son brought Liliana and her undead to face off against My daughter playing Chandra and her fire creatures. She charged her fire cats fearlessly into the center of the field while he kept his forces back and build up and undead army before moving in.

The undead fought fiercely against the fire beasts and it was a pretty even fight. Both sides took heavy losses, but thanks to the resurrecting abilities of the undead, they finally prevailed in the end.

Nissa and her elves managed to hold the hill until the end. Jace and her seemed to be an even match and although blows were exchanged, not much happened in their fight until the undead jumped in. The stalwart elves held the line and pushed back both the remaining undead and the few remaining illusions to take home the win.
